Quiero dedicar esta activación de Alegranza al recuerdo de todas las víctimas y familiares del accidente aéreo de Madrid , que todos los que nos escuchen desde Alegranza tengan un momento para una oración o para el recuerdo de todos ellos. Nos sentimos muy cerca de ellos.

Se realizaron desde Alegranza unos 670 qso,s, no son  muchos pero con las condiciones que teníamos creo que está bien. En Alegranza nos encontramos con dos dificultades desconocidas y una ya prevista. Esperábamos viento y olas pero no tanto, los tres días en la isla el viento sopló muy fuerte, más de 25 nudos. El viento y el romper de las olas provocaba que estuvieramos en el qth con una humedad muy elevada que hizo que el grupo electrógeno tuviera muchos fallos. El fuerte viento hizo que se complicara el montaje de las antenas, era  tan fuerte que incluso se dificultaba la operación en radio por el fuerte ruido que teníamos en las tiendas. El otro aspecto que hizo mella en nuestra actividad fue las restricciones que nos hicieron ya en la isla al montaje de antenas, la spiderbeam sólo la pudimos utilizar una tarde, se tuvo que desmontar ya que podía provocar daños a las numerosas aves que pueblan la isla, esto hizo que el resto de días sólo pudiésemos usar una simple "caña de pescar" con balun 1/9 y acoplador. una cambio que mermó mucho nuestras posibilidades de hacer más contactos y que provocó muchas dificultades en recepción de estaciones. Lo que ya sabíamos la propa, horrible, sólo se abría unas cuatro horas por la tarde el resto bandas cerradas. En todo caso la activación fue una gran experiencia personal para todos, ante las dificultades creo que se hizo lo que mejor se pudo.
